The third waistcoat I have produced for myself, this one is made from 24oz. natural white wool broadcloth. It features the aforementioned textile for the front, as well as button facings, with natural linen canvas for the back panels and white linen shirting for the front lining. The buttons are domed horn moulds covered in the same wool as the front of the waistcoat. It features narrow, angled pocket flaps with one functional pocket and one non-functioning. The back is split 1/3 of the way from the bottom and also features wool tape ties to facilitate a smoother, more even fit. The owner's - in this case, my own - initials are cross-stitched into the front lining in red silk buttonhole twist.
